City-wide Drone Monitoring, Kristiansand

This installation is a joint effort between Dronetag and [UAS Norway](https://www.uasnorway.no/), the country's national drone organization, which is headquartered here in Kristiansand. Founded in 2008, UAS Norway represents more than 1,600 members across companies and individual pilots, and works to keep drone operations safe, publicly accepted, and properly integrated into Norwegian airspace. Its work spans regulatory dialogue with the Civil Aviation Authority, and counter-drone and critical-infrastructure exercises run with partners across Scandinavia and, through INTERPOL, internationally. Together we chose Kristiansand as the first city to cover end to end with Dronetag Scout Remote ID receivers. A shared, near real-time picture of who is flying where is the groundwork for more automated and routine drone operations: DJI Dock missions, infrastructure and building inspections, drone-as-first-responder (DFR) flights for police and emergency services, and beyond-visual-line-of-sight work that all depend on reliable airspace awareness. As coverage grows from these first locations toward the whole city, this page is the public, censored view of what that awareness looks like in practice.
